Job Description:

The Business Editor will play a key role in researching, writing, and editing content on various topics including legal, tax, and operational advisory for foreign investors operating or planning to enter Asia. This position requires a mix of research journalism, corporate law and taxation knowledge, and the ability to produce insightful content for a business-focused audience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor business, economic, and financial news across Asian markets.
  2. Research and write articles on business developments in select Global South/emerging markets [ASEAN, Middle East, China, India].
  3. Review and copyedit articles submitted by team members to ensure quality and accuracy.
  4. Generate and pitch content ideas for publication on our platforms.
  5. Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences to gather information and generate relevant content.
  6. Collaborate with design, digital marketing, and web development teams to produce engaging publications.
  7. Work with regional marketing and business intelligence teams to ensure content aligns with service objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Excellent written and spoken English, with native-level proficiency.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Educational background in Journalism, Business, Law, Economics, Political Science, or related fields (tax knowledge is a plus).
  4. At least two years of experience in research, editorial, and international business content.
  5. In-depth understanding of Asia's economic, regulatory, and business environments.
  6. Ability to produce high-quality research on complex issues.
  7. Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks independently.
