Job Description:

The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for managing accounts payable and performing various accounting duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable
  • Manage accounts payable using MS Dynamics software and other programs.
  • Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
  • Analyze workflow processes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
  • Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Process due invoices for payments.
  • Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
  • Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts.
Inventory
  • Maintain and update records.
  • Count materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock during inventory period.
  • Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
  • Develop or improve inventory management procedures.
  • Compiling balance, price and cost reports.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology or Business Course.
  • Knowledge in bookkeeping and inventory.
  • Attention to detail and data entry skills.
  • Proficient in numerical and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective customer relation skills.
  • Result-oriented.
