Supply Planning Specialist

The Supply Planning Specialist is a key role in ensuring the right resources are allocated at the right time to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the allocation of work and audit supply and physical capacity across complex operations, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor capacity utilization, identify gaps, and recommend adjustments to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with Operations to understand staffing requirements and ensure optimal full-time equivalent (FTE) coverage, promoting resource efficiency.
  • Track and record program allocation across the footprint, ensuring seamless end-to-end system coordination.
  • Provide timely responses to supply inquiries, proactively creating opportunities for capacity creation and improving overall performance.
Strategic Planning and Process Improvement:
  • Develop short-term and long-term supply planning strategies aligned with business growth and operational efficiency, driving strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze trends in absenteeism and create mitigation strategies, minimizing disruptions and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Maintain processes that promote responsible utilization of the footprint, ensuring effective resource management.
  • Lead the implementation of data-driven strategies balancing priorities and timelines of multiple business units, fostering collaboration and driving results.
  • Create tools to enable allocation of projected demand, supply, and other factors influencing capacity and physical footprint requirements, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
People Management:
  • Lead, coach, and develop Supply Planning Specialists/Analysts to deliver accurate, timely workforce plans, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Establish performance goals, provide feedback, and conduct reviews, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance team culture, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to plan potential new initiatives.
  • Act as the primary contact for capacity and resource allocation discussions with account/program leaders, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Prepare and present workforce planning reports and recommendations to senior leadership, providing actionable insights and driving strategic decision-making.
  • Proactively escalate risks to capacity plans and propose corrective actions, minimizing disruptions and optimizing resource utilization.
