About the Position

We are seeking an experienced estimator to fill a crucial role in our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and have the ability to efficiently translate drawings into precise estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform takeoffs and cost estimates using Planswift or Bluebeam software with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and interpret architectural and electrical drawings, including reflected ceiling plans, to identify key elements.
  • Identify and quantify lighting fixtures and controls from project documents with attention to detail.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports using Microsoft Excel to facilitate data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with the project team to verify and refine estimates, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Planswift or Bluebeam (essential).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to effectively manage and analyze data.
  • Background in architectural and electrical projects with experience in electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans.
  • Knowledge of lighting fixtures and controls for takeoffs with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent spoken and written English with effective communication skills.
  • Prior costing/estimating experience is highly valued.
