Job Description:

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our database systems, including data storage, retrieval, and analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and implement new database technologies to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot database issues, resolving technical problems and providing support to users and developers.
  • Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement database requirements for new or existing applications.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in managing Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MongoDB, MySQL, and other database products.
  • Relevant database administration certificates, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA).
  • Experience in cloud database technologies, like Amazon RDS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of database automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
  • Ability to use a scripting language (like Python or Perl) to automate database administration tasks.
