Financial Accountant Position

The organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. This role will involve reporting to the Finance Manager, with key responsibilities including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and ad hoc tasks.

  • Accounting Responsibilities: Timely and accurate posting of accounting journal entries, completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and assistance with external audit process and ad hoc tasks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent team collaboration and communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Continuous Improvement: The successful candidate will be responsible for continuous improvement of financial accounting processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree-level qualification in Accounting or Commerce
  • Certified Accountant or Certified Public Accountant preferred
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in an accounting role
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and standards (AASB/IFRS)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar accounting software
  • Mature analytical skills with a keen desire to learn
  • Proven ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions
  • Ability to interpret financial information and explain in non-financial terms
  • Proven report writing skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Personal integrity and confidentiality
  • Team leader/player skills
