Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis: Deliver subdivisional P&L reporting and analysis for the business, ensuring accounting is in line with policies.
  • Review products & projects to ensure accurate accounting, requesting accruals or other adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide analysis to support decision-making, including presenting economic outcomes, identifying key value drivers, benefits, sensitivities, and risks.
  • Prepare and analyze problems using sensitivity analysis and other techniques, reviewing variance analyses and account reconciliations.
Cost Management
  • Apply various cost management techniques, such as target costing, value analysis, and life cycle assessment.
  • Prepare analysis and reports to enable business management to effectively challenge costs and inform decision-making.
  • Participate in waste elimination efforts to understand key drivers and cost reduction opportunities.
Investment Analysis & Allocation
  • Apply quantitative methods, qualitative judgment, and forward estimates in developing sophisticated capital investment analysis.
  • Assure analysis and planning beyond capital spending to wider expenditure areas, such as R&D and marketing.
  • Communicate investment analysis criteria to non-finance professionals in a clear and concise manner.
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support planning processes, setting targets, communicating assumptions, coordinating budget preparation, and challenging submissions.
  • Provide financial support to enable effective planning, applying sensible budgeting and forecasting techniques.
  • Offer reasoned advice on modeling, planning, and forecasting, incorporating organizational strategic direction.
