About The Position:

This role is responsible for overseeing and managing daily financial operations of a leading company in the food retail, food service, and restaurant operations industry. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with industry standards, and effective implementation of accounting procedures. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily review of transactions including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger, and other tasks.
  • Motivating and guiding accounting personnel to achieve daily objectives.
  • Filing all necessary tax returns.
  • Participating in tax audits as required.
  • Preparing schedules and analysis for all accounts.
  • Ensuring that accounting and financial objectives are met, and all operations comply with legal regulations.
  • Orienting and training new accounting employees.
  • Designing employee schedules, coaching, counseling, mentoring, and disciplining employees.
  • Contributing financial data to business plans, strategic plans, and reviews as necessary.
  • Preparing monthly and annual accounting reports.
  • Collaborating with the Comptroller.
  • Performing additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; accounting certification (such as CMA or CPA) is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an Accounting Supervisor position.
  • Profound experience with bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
  • Practical experience with accounting software (such as ERP and NAV).
  • Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles and best practices, as well as related legal regulations.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office, particularly with MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to define priorities, with accuracy and close attention to detail.
