Medical Record Specialist Role

Our organization is seeking a highly organized and meticulous Medical Record Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing sensitive documents, coordinating with healthcare providers, and supporting legal operations. They must thrive in a remote work environment and be proficient in record retrieval processes and document management.

Responsibilities:
  • Request medical records from healthcare providers, hospitals, and custodians
  • Draft and send formal requests, authorizations, and necessary forms
  • Follow up via email, fax, and phone to ensure timely retrieval
  • Coordinate billing and invoicing with the accounting team
  • Keep detailed track of all outstanding requests and escalate issues as needed
  • Review and organize incoming records for accuracy and compliance

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Ensuring all invoices are correct and all documentation is complete
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals

Required Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or certification in Administration, Healthcare, or a related field
  • Previous experience in legal, accounting, financial, or medical records is a huge plus
