Job Title: Content Development Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Content Development Associate to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who have experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field.

About the Role:

As a Content Development Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of children's books from concept to publication. This includes coordinating with illustrators, ghostwriters, and other freelancers, monitoring project timelines, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Assist in managing the development of children's books from concept to publication.
  • Content Support: Review and provide feedback on drafts, organize and maintain book-related files and documentation.
  • Marketing & Advertising Assistance: Support promotional efforts including basic advertising, content preparation for listings, and outreach.
  • Publishing Support: Research best practices for self-publishing platforms, assist in formatting and preparing manuscripts for publication, and keep track of royalties, sales, and promotional results as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need at least 1 year of experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as well as experience collaborating with creatives such as illustrators and writers. A self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving mindset is also required.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark.
  • Experience with graphic design tools or basic book formatting.
  • Background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products.
