About the Role

Kuehne + Nagel AS is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Road Logistics team, you will be responsible for leading and expanding our Centre of Excellence for Domestic and Cross-border transport.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the Roll Out: You will lead the structured roll out of our Centre of Excellence for Domestic and Cross-border transport, along with haulage activities on a central platform.
  2. Develop Vendor Relationships: You will develop measures to improve vendor management capability, reviewing and aligning resource allocation across different business activities to provide optimum service levels.
  3. Optimize Operational Activities: You will ensure efficient operational activities exist and are continuously optimized by implementing best practices.
  4. Develop System Solutions: You will be involved in the development and implementation of operational and reporting systems, including transport management systems (TMS) and application of new software.
  5. Manage Policies and Procedures: You will manage and review operational policies, standards and procedures including integrating and implementing automation, technology and systems.
  6. Review Business Continuity: You will review incident/crisis management ensuring effective business continuity plans are in place.
  7. Monitor Financial Performance: You will monitor annual budget, initiating corrective actions in case of deviation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Leadership and Teamwork: Strong leadership skills and focus on customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Education and Experience: Graduate with a Bachelor's degree in any related course and relevant experience in logistics operations.
