Automated Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automated Quality Assurance Specialist to provide end-to-end testing services and quality assurance activities throughout the systems development life cycle for agile and/or waterfall projects.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with QE and Development teams to design and implement manual and automation strategies
    • Contribute to agile testing processes, ensuring seamless integration of test cases into the project lifecycle
    • Deliver key quality control documents and activities required in the agile team for web and mobile applications
    • Execute comprehensive test cases to identify software defects, utilizing expertise in automation frameworks and tools
    • Log and track detailed product defects and project issues & concerns in an organized and efficient manner
    • Creation and maintenance of repeatable test ware including: Regression models and automation scripts, ensuring optimal efficiency and reusability
    • Provide timely and effective communications to stakeholders, summarizing test results and managing the impact of testing on the overall program
    Requirements and Qualifications
    • Profound understanding and experience in Agile test automation frameworks and approaches
    • Exceptional organizational, planning, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members
    • Leadership in QA activities and deliverables on medium to large-sized projects, demonstrating strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Mentorship and guidance of teammates in open, respectful, flexible, empathetic manner, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
    • Strong vendor management experience to address project requirements, ensuring smooth collaboration and communication with external partners
    • Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as ReadyAPI, Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, JMeter, TestNG, Jenkins, HP ALM/qTest, Mobile Center (or equivalent)
    • Tricentis Tosca knowledge and experience is an asset, but not required
    • Programming experience in Java, Ruby, C#, Python or other languages, with a strong foundation in software development principles
    • Understanding of internet technologies, web services, SOAP, XSL/XSLT, API, and their applications in software development
    • Familiarity with version control systems like Git, Scrum, Jira, CA Service Virtualization or other agile tools, ensuring seamless integration into the project lifecycle
    • Knowledge of DevOps, continuous integration, and delivery concepts, specifically continuous testing, and its benefits in software development
    • Understanding of TDD, ATDD, and/or BDD, with the ability to apply these methodologies in real-world scenarios
    • Experience in designing and developing code to automate functional and regression tests, with a focus on maintainability and scalability
    • CSTE certification (or equivalent) is an asset, but not required
