Job Description

This position involves providing technical expertise for the development and implementation of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects across a global network. The successful candidate will contribute to WASH strategies through a collaborative approach, staff development, and learning around best practices in WASH programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and uphold ministry values in prayer.
  • Act as an advocate to raise awareness of children's needs and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making.
  • Provide technical guidance for the effective implementation and quality of WASH projects globally.
  • Promote capacity development among specialists and facilitate opportunities for learning exchange.
  • Represent the organization and present WASH programs at relevant forums.
  • Write technical components related to WASH for proposal development and support the refinement and implementation of annual WASH work plans.
  • Collaborate with other Global Design Specialists and provide WASH technical support for disaster response operations when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a similar field.
  • Master's degree preferred in a WASH-related or International Development field.
  • 10+ years of experience working in this or a similar position or field.
  • Advisor-level experience with a WASH program in a developing country is desirable.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.

Preferred Skills

  • Project planning and management.
  • Budget preparation and report writing.
