Technical Drafting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient technical drafting specialist to support architectural and engineering projects through precise drafting and 3D modeling.

About the Role:
  • This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy creating accurate and detailed technical drawings, layouts, and 3D models using industry-standard software.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. This role involves working collaboratively with project teams to ensure model accuracy and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drafting and Modeling: Develop 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  2. Design Interpretation: Interpret sketches, specifications, and design intent to produce accurate technical documentation.
  3. Project Coordination: Coordinate with project teams to ensure model accuracy and compliance with standards.
  4. Documentation Maintenance: Update and maintain drawing sets and BIM files throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Clash Detection and Visualization: Assist in clash detection, quantity take-offs, and visualization tasks.
  6. Compliance and Quality: Ensure adherence to company drafting standards and BIM protocols.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting or BIM modeling in a professional setting.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation, layout planning, and elevation detailing.
  • Understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
  • Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
