Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering and supporting data integrations from internal and external sources into the data warehouse technical stack, ensuring accurate data delivery to systems. You will be required to build new data integrations (ETL components) and make changes to existing software and will be a key role in designing and building a strong Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Primary Functions
  • Understanding business and data requirements, defining solution approach, designing and implementing the ETL components.
  • Designing and developing complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract and insert data into and from the Datawarehouse.
  • Leveraging monitoring tools to track status of ETL Pipelines for performance and completion.
  • Ensuring the team is following best practices of ETL development.
  • Developing and writing scripts for ETL orchestrations as required.
  • Participating in peer code reviews.
  • Providing coaching and guidance to junior team members on technologies and processes.
  • Providing support and recommendations for testing and UAT for work being delivered.
  • Participating in routine maintenance, performance tuning and support of ETL and the DW Environment.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of IT experience required in working with ETL in an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge in ETL Design methodologies including best practices, performance tuning, architecture, monitoring and alerting.
  • Experience with relational and dimensional data modelling and ability to represent data using standard modelling techniques.
  • Proficient with SQL and stored procedures.
  • Experience in working with at least one of these warehouse technologies such as SQL, Snowflake, AWS Redshift.
  • Able to deliver work to schedule (self-manage workload and priorities).
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving.
  • Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
