Software Quality Assurance Specialist

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products.

In this role, you will work closely with our development team to identify and analyze quality concerns, design and execute test plans, and document defects and failure rates. You will also communicate quality metrics in test reports and participate in requirement, design, and specification reviews.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, natural curiosity, and an ability to think outside the box to solve problems. You will also be able to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.

You will be responsible for designing test cases and test scripts, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes. You will also participate in requirement, design, and specification reviews, and use this information to design test plans and test conditions.

Able to follow agreed standards and techniques to devise and execute test cases and scenarios based on predefined acceptance criteria. Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks.

Evaluate design options and prototypes to obtain user feedback on requirements of developing systems, products, services or devices. Tests the usability and accessibility of components and alternative designs.

Administers a range of evaluations, recording data and feedback. Analyses evaluation data and recommends actions. Identifies areas for future user research. Checks systems, products, services or devices for adherence to applicable standards, guidelines, style guides, and legislation.

• 3+ years of experience in manual testing (functional, non-functional, regression)
• Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting test outcomes. Participates in requirement, design and specification reviews, and uses this information to design test plans and test conditions.
• Follows agreed standards and techniques to devise and execute test cases and scenarios based on predefined acceptance criteria. Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks.
• Evaluates design options and prototypes to obtain user feedback on requirements of developing systems, products, services or devices. Tests the usability and accessibility of components and alternative designs.

• Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors simple programs/scripts. Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result. Reviews own work.
• Can replicate issues in QA env based from the reported issue in production/SIT
• Can execute test cases based from detailed test steps in JIRA Xray
• Can raise bugs with detailed information of the issue

• Experience working in Web-based applications
• Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
