Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly close process by preparing standard journal entries, maintaining monthly reconciliations, and related workpapers.
  • Analyze community level income statements, coordinate communication with community leadership on status of the close, results of financial analysis, and other accounting and financial support.
  • Reconcile community level balance sheets, including cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Team on SME areas for the monthly close and reporting of consolidated balance sheet and income statement level accounts.
  • Maintain financial records in compliance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager and Internal Audit with compliance-related matters including year-end audit support and compliance with internal controls.
  • Participate in/coordinate trainings regarding day-to-day accounting related matters and other technical matters.
  • Propose and execute process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Perform budget and forecast preparation and analysis.
