GL Accountant Role

We are seeking an experienced GL Accountant to join our US Accounting team. This position will be remote and allow for flexible work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of month-end close, reconciliation, and reporting procedures
  • Responsible for reviewing and preparing monthly close packages for foreign subsidiaries
  • Prepares monthly Cost Plus JEs, funding, and cash projections
  • Manages day-to-day accounting processes and procedures relating to fixed assets, prepaids, payroll, and certain accruals
  • Performs tasks associated with the general ledger, including entering monthly journal entries
  • Conducts monthly reconciliations and account analysis for designated balance sheet accounts and certain operating accounts
  • Reviews daily bank activities and prepares JEs for bank reconciliations
  • Assists on quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures with external auditors
  • Supports technical accounting matters as required
  • Interfaces with other departments to determine monthly accruals and other monthly journal entries, especially relating to closing activities

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with financial software and systems
