Job Title: Technical Editor II

Job Description

The role of a Technical Editor II involves overseeing the editing of documents in accordance with client and company specifications, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring consistency in formatting, style, and content across various projects. The Technical Editor II must be adept at communicating effectively with clients to establish clear expectations for project deliverables and timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough quality control reviews to verify document accuracy, internal consistency, and adherence to grammar rules.
  • Apply formatting techniques consistently with company guidelines, including template utilization, style application, table insertion, figure creation, and overall document appearance.
  • Publish documents to regulatory health standards and stay updated on submission-ready document requirements and structure.
  • Lead document quality-related projects, coordinate with project teams, manage timelines and budgets, communicate client feedback, and provide strategic insights to improve performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel as a Technical Editor II, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field with an interest in regulatory writing.
  • Editor certification in the Life Sciences is desired but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in terms of editing tools, creating and modifying tables, and inserting figures.
  • At least two years of prior experience in a related field, with a strong background in pharmaceuticals and/or science and technical industries.
  • Understanding of GXP, ICH E3, electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD), AMA style guidance, and version control.
