We're seeking a creative, motivated, and organized professional who will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing written content for college applications. This individual will provide detailed feedback, emphasizing clarity, style, and structure.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional English verbal and written skills, a strong command of grammar, and experience working with students from various backgrounds. They will be familiar with the college application process, skilled as a writer, and adept at providing written feedback on nonfiction writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Collaborating with our consultants to brainstorm ideas, providing feedback to students, and editing students' rough drafts to refine grammar, clarity, style, flow, structure, and word count.
  • Research: Conducting research to strengthen students' work based on their interests and profiles.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with team members to draft, brainstorm, augment, and review assignments, especially those with urgent deadlines.
  • Administrative Tasks: Managing administrative duties associated with assignments, including communication with team members, organizing send-outs of completed assignments, and scheduling review meetings.
  • Business Development: Contributing to the growth of our organization during the off-season through projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Possessing excellent English verbal and written skills with a strong command of grammar.
  • Academic Background: Having graduated from a 4-year degree program in English, Literature, Journalism, Education, or related fields.
  • Professional Experience: Having experience working for an education consulting company specializing in college admissions is preferred but not required.
  • Portfolio: Having a portfolio with a minimum of three written samples (one creative piece and one research sample are encouraged).
  • Creative Writing: Possessing the ability to edit and write skillfully without relying on AI tools.
