Job Overview

As a senior backend engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that develops tools, APIs, and integrations for our products. Our tech stack includes Elixir and Phoenix for the backend, with a Postgres database at its core. For the frontend, we utilize React and Next.js, while version control and CI/CD are managed through GitLab. Our hosting platform is AWS.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading major project developments and cross-team initiatives. This includes participating in product development, providing valuable feedback, and suggesting improvements to enhance overall performance. Additionally, you will maintain a deep understanding of both product and engineering domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead major projects and cross-team initiatives

  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to shared codebase
  • Debug, solve issues, and propose platform improvements
  • Mentor engineers and participate in hiring, RFC discussions, support rotations

Requirements
  • Significant experience as a Backend Engineer with Elixir
  • Proficiency with Postgres or similar databases
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Github, Jenkins, etc.)
Preferred Skills
  • Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Next.js, React/Vue/Angular
