Job Title: Network Security Specialist

Sophos is a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, and we're seeking a skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team.

This role offers the opportunity to support customers and learn cutting-edge technologies in software security. As a Network Security Specialist, you will have a strong customer service focus, excellent technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills.

We're looking for someone with experience in IT security concepts, including antivirus, networking, and encryption technologies. You should be able to handle escalated calls, use good judgment, and make sound recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have advanced computer skills, at least one year of experience, and knowledge of Linux, Unix, DNS, Networking, Network security, Apache, Proxies, Email security, HTTP protocol, Bash, Web proxy, Web security, Spam filtering, Active Directory, and network protocols like HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SMB, DNS, and DHCP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Customers: Provide exceptional customer service, solve technical problems, and deliver an outstanding experience.
  • Learn and Apply Skills: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and strategies to resolve customer issues and improve processes.
  • Handle Escalations: Use good judgment to make sound recommendations and resolve complex customer complaints.
Required Skills:
  • IT Security Concepts: Strong understanding of antivirus, networking, and encryption technologies.
  • Technical Knowledge: Advanced computer skills, including Linux, Unix, DNS, Networking, Network security, Apache, Proxies, Email security, HTTP protocol, Bash, Web proxy, Web security, Spam filtering, Active Directory.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead customers through issue resolution.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and make sound recommendations.
