Progress OpenEdge Software Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Progress OpenEdge developer to join our team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing projects and new client deployments using Progress OpenEdge ABL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL
  • Design, code, test, and debug large-scale programs
  • Optimize existing applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Implement database design and modifications using Progress Database
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with Progress OpenEdge Development (Version 11.x or higher)
  • Strong proficiency in Progress ABL/4GL programming
  • Experience with Progress Database administration and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with source control systems
  • Understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
