Civil Engineer/Structural Specialist

Our company is seeking an experienced civil engineer/structural engineer with expertise in bridge design to join our dynamic team of professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing civil engineer/structural engineer concepts and preliminary designs for bridges, ensuring aesthetic and functional integrity. This involves working closely with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to align designs with technical and site-specific requirements.

  • Develop civil engineer/structural engineer concepts and preliminary designs for bridges, taking into account both functional and aesthetic considerations.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers and other team members to ensure that designs meet technical and site-specific requirements.
  • Produce design development (DD) documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Provide expert advice on a variety of bridge types, including cable-stayed, suspension, arches, trusses, and curved bridges.
  • Work effectively with external firms during the transition from design development to construction documentation phases.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a civil engineer/structural engineer, with a focus on complex and unique bridge designs.
  • Proven track record of working on cable-stayed, suspension, arched, truss, and curved bridge projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sofistik software.
  • Strong understanding of design development (DD) processes and technical detailing for bridges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, clients, and external partners.
  • A portfolio showcasing conceptual and design development work on bridge projects is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment and collaborate with remote teams during US business hours.
