Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated News and Public Relations Associate to support our journalistic and public relations work. This individual will collaborate with other business journalists and PR associates, reporting to a team lead and the CEO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research, coverage, and writing of business stories to engage target audiences
  • Draft and schedule weekly newsletters to keep stakeholders informed
  • Write weekly podcast features to share company insights and perspectives
  • Pitch, research, and write newsworthy press releases to secure media coverage
  • Manage public affairs and media efforts, including writing and placing op-eds and mobilizing editorial campaigns to enhance brand reputation
  • Create graphics and other creative content to elevate visual communications
  • Manage social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) to foster online engagement and community building
Qualifications And Experience

A minimum of one to two years of experience in digital marketing, journalism, or public relations is required. We also welcome fresh graduates to apply who possess relevant skills and knowledge.

  • Strong writing skills with ability to adapt tone and style
  • Email marketing experience with a focus on audience engagement

  • Basic graphic design using Canva or Photoshop with attention to detail
  • Technical competence to resolve and troubleshoot problems independently through use of Google or reading the manual
Nice-To-Have Skills
  • Experience with project management tools such as Clickup
  • Basic web design using Wordpress with a focus on user experience
  • Copywriting skills with ability to craft compelling narratives
  • Familiarity with Facebook ads, Google Adwords, Pinterest ads, and SEO principles
  • Email deliverability optimization with expertise in list management
  • Public relations skills with ability to build and maintain relationships
