Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical File Reviewer/PHRN to join our team.

  • Prepares case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) assigned in the client portal, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reviews and bookmarks medical records, creating a comprehensive synopsis to answer complex medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assists the medical provider during scheduled appointments of veterans by:
  • Accessing, navigating, and preparing different apps in the medical provider's computer in the exam room prior to the appointment.
  • Conducting remote interviews with veterans via approved video or telephone conference platforms.
  • Transcribing medical history based on veteran answers to questions in the DBQ.
  • Assisting the medical provider by documenting physical examination findings in the appropriate section of the DBQs.
  • Completing all sections of the DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment.
  • Meting with medical providers to discuss each assigned case, determining the final diagnosis per DBQ and for approval of medical opinions.
  • Transferring data from the DBQ spreadsheet to the client portal.
  • Submitting DBQs in the client portal.
  • Answering queries/addendum reports from the client's QAs.
  • Coordinating with medical providers and other team members regarding scheduled appointments per day.
