Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Supervisor to lead our global team of Technical Support Engineers. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, technical quality of service, and the growth and effectiveness of your team.

Your primary focus will be on mentoring and coaching engineers through technical and non-technical challenges. You will also manage scheduling, coverage, escalations, and rotation planning, as well as promote accountability, learning, and consistency within your team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing team of Technical Support Engineers across time zones, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach engineers through technical and non-technical challenges, helping them grow professionally and personally.
  • Operational Management: Manage scheduling, coverage, escalations, and rotation planning to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Culture Development: Promote accountability, learning, and consistency within your team, driving continuous improvement in our operations and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical depth in Linux and open source databases, with experience managing or leading remote or globally distributed teams.
  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience as a Technical Support Engineer or DBA, with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Cross-Cultural Competence: Comfort working across time zones and cultures, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
