Power Electronics Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of power electronics and electronics engineering fundamentals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing power electronic components and PCB gate driver solutions from conceptualization to mass production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design power electronic components and PCB gate driver solutions from conceptualization to mass production.
  • Develop circuit design for industrial applications, including dc-dc converters and analog circuits.
  • Select and propose second-source components, generate simulation and calculations.
  • Optimize, evaluate, and document product designs built with our products.
  • Facilitate technical design reviews with engineering teams.
  • Characterize new circuits and components.
  • Perform low- and high-voltage characterizations, component characterization, and electrical evaluations.
  • Generate schematic designs and supervise PCB layout design.
  • Create internal technical documentation, including test plans and reports.
  • Ensure safety, quality, reliability, and manufacturability of products.
  • Lead technical discussions, facilitate reviews, and train junior engineers.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers.
  • Collaborate with vendors, test engineering, and industrialization teams to prepare designs for testing and manufacturing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent understanding of power electronics and electronics engineering fundamentals.
  • At least 5 years of experience in power electronics design, including gate drivers and switch mode power supplies.
  • Knowledge of power electronics components, such as IGBTs, Si or SiC MOSFETs, gate drives, and analog/digital circuits.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation tools (e.g., Simetrix/Simplis, LTSpice) and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium).
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and have strong organizational skills.
  • Team player with learning capability and willingness to be trained and pursue further education.
