We seek a skilled Senior API/Backend Engineer to join our dynamic API team. As part of this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable API solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional backend services and integrations.

This position requires hands-on technical expertise, collaboration, and strategic thinking. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance APIs as part of the API team.
  • Contributing to system scoping, drafting technical specifications, and conducting code reviews.
  • Establishing and maintaining best practices for backend infrastructure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Designing and implementing robust test cases for new APIs and integration capabilities.
  • Deploying changes and executing migrations in an agile, iterative manner while ensuring backward compatibility.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and fostering knowledge sharing through code reviews and technical sessions.
  • Troubleshooting production issues across various services and infrastructure layers.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to scope, design, and deliver key features on the product roadmap.
  • Participating in the continuous improvement of processes and tools related to CI/CD, observability, and the overall development workflow.
