Project Service Engineer Job Description

The role of Project Service Engineer is a critical position in the generation of sales for retail solar products and services. This individual will be responsible for designing photovoltaic systems, evaluating project proposals, and collaborating with engineers to ensure timely project implementation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and design photovoltaic systems for potential solar PV site locations using specialized software applications such as CAD.
  • Coordinate with project engineers to generate required PV system designs for customer sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Review proposed designs and prepare bills of materials for each solar PV design, considering structural and electrical regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams regarding material and installation costs, assessing their impact on project budgets.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on current and future design builds.
  • Prepare reports and documents as required by project implementation managers, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
Requirements
  • Hold a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Have at least two years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Possess knowledge of CAD software and MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of solar, roofing, and construction principles is an advantage.
