Overview of the Role

Pioneer Your Insurance seeks a highly skilled Senior Underwriting Analyst to provide technical support to its business lines in terms of underwriting group accounts, pricing group and health insurances, and coordinating with reinsurers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Product Profitability: Contributes to the management of Affinity's loss ratio by strictly adhering to established underwriting guidelines and pricing standards when evaluating new and renewal insurance applications for complex risks.
  • Experience Management: Provides excellent service to customers and communicates proactively with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Process Management: Delivers processes consistently according to quality standards and turn-around time, including comprehensive risk assessment and evaluation of insurability for prospective group accounts.

A Bit About You

  • Candidate must be a graduate of BS Statistics, BS Applied Mathematics, or any STEM related undergraduate course with several calculus-based statistics courses;
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience for which 2 years are management-related experience;
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and Excel VBA;
  • Willing to be assigned in our head office.
