Job Title:

The financial administrator will be the backbone of a rapidly growing business. They will maintain accurate financial records, prepare monthly financial reports, and provide analysis that drives business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records across all accounts
  • Perform monthly audits and reconciliations to ensure clean books and identify errors or inconsistencies
  • Prepare accurate monthly P&L statements and comprehensive financial reports for management review
  • Provide monthly financial analysis highlighting trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or growth
Daily Operations:
  • Record daily sales transactions from multiple platforms
  • Reconcile payment processor accounts
  • Process and manage accounts payable, including vendor payments and expense tracking
  • Handle monthly inventory valuation and COGS recognition, including physical counts and reconciliations
Strategic Support:
  • Support forecasting activities and budget preparation
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
  • Partner with leadership to deliver clear financial reporting and recommend process improvements
  • Conduct month-end closing procedures and reconcile all accounts

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of GAAP principles
  • Prior client experience - working with retail businesses is essential
  • Solid grasp of inventory accounting, amortization, and cost recognition methodologies
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data into actionable insights
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial work
  • Independent work style - comfortable working autonomously and proactively solving problems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Knowledge of Amazon FBA accounting and multi-channel operations
  • Experience with inventory management systems and cost accounting methodologies
  • Track record of implementing process improvements in financial operations
