Job Title: Occupational Health Specialist

The key responsibility of an Occupational Health Specialist is to promote and protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees in a work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medical Support: Provide immediate medical assistance and first aid to employees in case of illness or workplace accidents.
  • Medical Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee medical records.
  • Health Assessments: Conduct regular health assessments and monitor employees' fitness for work.
  • Healthcare Coordination: Coordinate with accredited hospitals and healthcare providers for referrals and emergencies.
  • Health Programs: Assist in the development and implementation of health and wellness programs.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory and proper usage of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment in the clinic.
  • Compliance: Support HR and the Health & Safety Committee in occupational safety and health programs, including compliance with DOLE regulations.
  • Health Education: Conduct health education sessions, wellness campaigns, and preventive care initiatives.
  • Administrative Support: Provide assistance in managing health insurance claims and pre-employment medical requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) with an active PRC license.
  • Training: Preferably with Occupational Health Training / BOSH training for nurses (an advantage).
  • Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience as a Company Nurse or in an occupational health setting (BPO experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of DOLE-OSHC occupational health standards.
  • Skill: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Priorities: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
