Job Title: Technical Designer

We are seeking a skilled technical designer to join our team.

Your Role
  • Develop detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Ensure all company drawings are prepared, checked, and filed according to established procedures.
  • Prepare project drawings for fabrication including DXF profiles following company drafting standards.
  • Produce product installation and operation manuals.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring drawings are filed correctly, including check prints, superseded, and masters.
  • Action feedback from the manager via model and drawing updates, respecting part numbers and dealing with modifications and revisions changes.
  • Manage and complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Analyze engineering specifications, sketches, and models to create accurate mechanical designs.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure drawings align with project goals.
  • Evaluate mechanical designs against relevant industry standards and company policies.
  • Maintain and organize design files and project documentation for future reference.
  • Support preparation of project specifications, material lists, and other technical documentation.
  • Participate in design review meetings and provide feedback on potential improvements.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following:
  • Mechanical or structural designer/draftsman with +5 years' experience.
  • SolidWorks experience in designing and drafting.
  • Manufacturing methods.
