About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at KMC Solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our data models, data integration, data processing, and reporting solutions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake and integration tools like Fivetran to ingest data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement data transformation processes using dbt for analytics and reporting.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Support data analysts and cross-functional teams with their data needs.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality, performance, and integrity issues.
  • Monitor data quality and troubleshoot to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Provision user access to data.
  • Ensure data security when handling confidential and personal data.
Requirements
  • Qualified with a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, science, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with relational databases and administering PostgreSQL/SQL server platforms.
  • Strong programming skills in dbt and SQL, with a focus on data manipulation, ETL/ELT processes, and analysis.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in Snowflake, Fivetran, and dbt.
  • Proficiency in data modeling concepts.
  • Expertise in data integration (ETL/ELT) methods and techniques, including working with flat files (CSV, JSON, XML), SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL), and APIs.
  • Expert knowledge of reporting and visualization tools, preferably Tableau Server.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
