Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Travel Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in the travel industry, with expertise in GDS systems and strong technical skills in GDS administration.

Main Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls and emails from clients, providing timely and professional travel assistance.
  • Process booking requests, modifications, and additions via the GDS queue system.
  • Manage and action all travel-related requests in accordance with the service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with client travel policies and consultant processes.
  • Make necessary travel changes, including ticket reissues, itinerary updates, and additional booking requirements.
  • Monitor and action any airline waitlists and ensure cleared bookings are processed efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date logs for all bookings, including resolutions and additional notes.
  • Invoice fees and applicable charges accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate any travel updates or changes to the relevant consultant or manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in the travel industry, ideally in corporate or after-hours travel support.
  • Expertise in GDS systems (preferably Amadeus), with hands-on experience in booking, ticketing, and fare management.
  • Strong technical skills in GDS administration, including configuration, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
  • Passionate about customer service, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering seamless travel solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, ensuring efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday), with the ability to thrive in an after-hours setting.
