Residential Land Development Design Professional

About the Role:

This is a technical, backend role ideal for someone with 1–3 years of civil engineering experience, particularly in residential land development design. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, a strong communicator, and comfortable working independently in a flexible, remote setting.

The position involves executing technical design tasks using Autodesk Civil 3D (grading, alignments, pipe networks, etc.), providing backend support for residential development projects, uploading, managing, and organizing CAD files and project documents, revising drawings based on redlines and internal feedback, following CAD standards and project specifications consistently, coordinating with engineers and project managers via Microsoft Teams, tracking deadlines, communicating proactively, and ensuring timely delivery of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute technical design tasks using Autodesk Civil 3D (grading, alignments, pipe networks, etc.)
  • Provide backend support for residential development projects
  • Upload, manage, and organize CAD files and project documents
  • Revise drawings based on redlines and internal feedback
  • Follow CAD standards and project specifications consistently

  • Track deadlines, communicate proactively, and ensure timely delivery of work

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience using Autodesk Civil 3D (required)
  • Civil engineering background with a focus on residential site development or public works projects
  • Familiarity with residential grading, utilities, lot layouts, and BMPs (willing to train on BMPs)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow CAD standards
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good written and verbal communication in English (perfect fluency not required)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams and cloud-based collaboration platforms
