Strategic Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Accounting Specialist to join our organization. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting and a proven track record of hands-on transactional bookkeeping.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who can seamlessly operate across both high-level financial analysis and day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strategic insight with minimal supervision.

  • Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end and year-end close, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, guaranteeing accurate financial statements and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform hands-on transactional bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking, to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to support strategic decision-making and drive business insights.
  • Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and forecast trends to inform operational planning and optimize resource allocation.
  • Assist in developing financial models, dashboards, and tools to enhance data-driven decision-making and streamline business processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of integrity and responsibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial planning initiatives, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a Strategic Accounting Specialist, with a strong understanding of both strategic financial planning and day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, with expertise in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis, to drive business insights and inform strategic decisions.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Fully fluent in English, with excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours (Pacific Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time), with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
