System Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a seasoned System Software Engineer to collaborate with our distributed team.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development of Golang tooling and ecosystem within Ubuntu. As a key member of our team, you will select, integrate and package best-of-breed tooling with Ubuntu to improve developer and operator experience with Go.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate proactively with our team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Select and integrate software solutions to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Write high-quality code to create new features and resolve complex issues.
  • Review and participate in code reviews to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding effective solutions to technical challenges.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience with Go programming language, preferably in cloud-native software and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with packaging software for Debian and Ubuntu.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux systems and software architectures.
  • Demonstrated academic achievements from both high school and university.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Passionate about technology and collaborating with skilled professionals.
  • Flexible, articulate, accountable, curious, and self-motivated individual.
