The role of a Data Infrastructure Specialist is pivotal in driving the success of our SaaS platform.

This team member will be responsible for overseeing the core infrastructure that powers the entire platform, including database clusters, load balancers, and Linux/Azure systems.

As a key member of our skilled team, you will significantly impact the platform's speed, reliability, and scalability, enabling our rapid expansion into new markets.

This is a 100% remote role with no travel to customer locations.

  • Monitor and optimize MariaDB clusters and MaxScale load balancers for high availability.
  • Administer Ubuntu Linux servers on Azure VMs, including patching, tuning, and automation.
  • Manage and optimize Azure resources including Traffic Manager, load balancers, and networking.

To excel in this role, you will have:

  • 3+ years as a MySQL or Maria DBA (cloud or hybrid).
  • Strong skills in MariaDB clustering and replication preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on Linux (Ubuntu) and Azure administration experience.
  • Performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery know-how.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, scripting).
  • Experience with security compliance in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of large-scale, high-availability systems.
