Medical Content Writer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Content Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate and engaging medical content for various audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong science or healthcare background, combined with exceptional writing and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience in creating medical or scientific content, preferably in a pharma agency setting. They will also possess excellent English communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing accurate and engaging medical content for various audiences
  • Translating complex medical concepts into clear and concise copy
  • Creative development of slide decks, websites, branded campaign assets, and patient education materials
  • Drive the editorial process from first draft to final proof
  • Partner with design, strategy, account, and project management teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or PhD in any science or medical field
  • At least 2 to 5 years of medical writing experience
  • Experience in pharma agency work is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of using Veeva/PromoMats (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure all content is on-brand and compliant
