Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead our environmental, health, and safety programs in the food manufacturing industry.
EHS Program Management
As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our EHS programs based on international standards. This includes planning and guiding the organization toward achieving external certifications such as Integrated Management System (IMS).
Regulatory Compliance
You will ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies, including DENR, DOLE, LLDA, and other government agencies.
Budget & Resource Management
You will oversee and manage resources effectively to ensure that EHS initiatives are implemented efficiently.
Emergency Preparedness & Response
Develop, implement, and regularly test emergency preparedness and response procedures for potential incidents such as fires, explosions, or other safety hazards.
Safety & Risk Management
Implement programs aimed at preventing and reducing the occurrence of accidents, incidents, or emergencies. Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety regulations.
Continuous Improvement
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance environmental sustainability, employee safety, and plant performance.
Leadership & Development
Mentor staff and provide training related to environmental and safety standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Must be a licensed Engineer. Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and/or Safety Officer (SO) certification is required.
Experience
At least 10 years of experience in EHS, specifically within the food manufacturing industry. Strong background in environmental and safety regulations, risk management, and emergency response.
Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage and lead teams, as well as collaborate across departments to implement effective EHS programs.
Location
Willingness to be assigned in Danao, Cebu. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization maintains a high standard of environmental stewardship, employee safety, and regulatory compliance, which is essential in the manufacturing industry, especially in food production.
