Cloud Engineering Manager Job

We are looking for a seasoned Cloud Engineering Manager to oversee the management of our distributed systems on private infrastructure. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing engineers who oversee day-to-day managed services of customer environments, including customer service management, managed services operations, and consistent product improvement engineering.

This is a globally remote role that requires strong communication and cooperation skills, as well as experience working in and managing distributed teams. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with customers, product engineering, and operations to drive success.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of professional experience in software delivery and/or managing operations teams, with a strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality. Experience with OpenStack, Linux system administration, and agile software development methodologies is highly desirable.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a growing engineering team to optimize the quality and velocity of both development and operations
  • Identifying and measuring team health indicators
  • Implementing disciplined engineering and operations processes
  • Representing the team with respect to stakeholders, customers, and external teams
  • Ensuring proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Working to meet service level agreements with customer deployments around the globe
