Job Title: Research and Development Specialist

Main Objective:

Develop and implement support programs in alignment with strategic goals for small enterprise development in South Africa.

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Implement operational strategy and work plan for Seda Small Enterprise Research and Development unit.
  2. Conduct research and develop support programs to drive business growth.
  3. Enhance Seda's positioning as a thought leader within the small enterprise sector.
  4. Maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
  5. Provide administrative support to the unit team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Matric (NQF Level 4) and National Diploma ( NQF Level 6) in Development studies/Public Administration/Business Management.
  • Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in Development studies/Public Administration/Business Management is an added advantage.

Required Work Experience:

  • 4-6 years of practical experience in Professional Research and Analysis environment.
  • At least 2-3 years experience in developing Small Enterprise Programs/Products will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in managing the implementation of Small Enterprise Programs/Products.
  • Prior experience in implementing interventions across geographical locations.
  • Knowledge and experience in facilitating Enterprise Development in the private/public sector and/or internationally.
  • Knowledge of legislation impacting SMME sector.
  • Proposal development experience and skills.
