Data Solutions Architect

We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to take on a leadership role in our team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions using Power BI.
About the Role- Conduct meetings with customers to understand their reporting requirements
- Develop a thorough understanding of Power BI Licensing options and their limitations
- Create high-performance star schema data models for use with Power BI, including calculated columns and measures
- Design and develop Power BI solutions for customers, including data import from multiple sources, report and dashboard creation, and data element development using DAX and source queries
- Guide customers on deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service (Gateways, DirectQuery, DataFlows, Data Updates)
Key Responsibilities
- Implement data pipelines and workflows using Databricks
- Design intuitive user interfaces to ensure ease of use by functional teams
- Gather customer requirements and conduct focus groups to determine processes needed to support business growth
- Analytical approach to problem-solving; leverage technology to address business challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Leadership experience managing a team
- 8+ years working with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack (SSRS, Power BI, PowerPivot, PerformancePoint), or other vendor tools (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, SAP)
- Working knowledge of TSQL, data modeling, and reporting using Power BI or other Microsoft tools
- Experience creating comprehensive Power BI report solutions based on business questions with linked content, drill-downs, and nested parameters
Preferred Experience:
- Power BI tenant and workspace management to support development, testing, and deployment
- Experience with analytics and custom visualizations for Power BI using Python, R
- Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization
