Senior Progress OpenEdge Developer

We are seeking an experienced software developer to work on delivering high-quality applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL.

The successful candidate will possess a strong proficiency in designing, coding, testing, and debugging complex programs. They should be familiar with Agile development methodologies and have experience with source control systems.

  • Design and develop scalable and efficient applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL
  • Develop and maintain robust database designs and modify them as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements

The ideal candidate will be able to translate business requirements into technical specifications and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with Progress OpenEdge Development
  • Strong proficiency in Progress ABL/4GL programming
  • Experience with Progress Database administration and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with source control systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Progress Dynamics/WebSpeed
  • Experience with WinForms
  • Familiarity with Docker containerization
