At Mida Food Specialist, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to support our purchasing function. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for procuring products and packaging materials according to company specifications.

Duties:

  • Maintain records of purchases and trade files
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in preparation of reports as requested by the Executive Board
  • Record and maintain files for supplier database, prices and specs for both suppliers and customers
  • Preserve and update electronic files such as import stats, historical purchases, BOC and BIR related reports
  • Prepare and circulate documents such Seafood Product Requisition (SPR), Purchase Orders (PO), Discharge Information Sheet (DIS) and Goods Deposit Slip (GDS)
  • Follow up on orders and shipping documents to ensure that products are delivered on promised dates
  • Assist in the preparation of documentary requirements for government agencies such as BFAR, BFAD and BOC
  • Update calendar of arrivals of imported shipments and deliveries of local shipments
  • Update SAP database for vendors and item master data
  • Coordinate quality issues and secure corrective actions with the suppliers
  • Monitor and ensure prompt payments to suppliers
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
