About the Role

The Technical Audit Engineer will be primarily responsible for the review of various aspects of a construction project. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Effective monitoring and control of construction cost by establishing and implementing procedures to protect and mitigate owner risk;
  • Reduce/eliminate contractor discretionary spending, control allowances, contingency spends, non-allowable cost in Change Orders, etc. in order to protect the interest of the project and the spirit of the contract;
  • Identify potential overcharges and/or savings;
  • Identify and evaluate risks and internal controls;
  • Design and perform audit procedures;
  • Recommend improvement opportunities aligned with leading practices, if necessary;
  • Develop criteria to audit against, analyzing and documenting processes and audit evidence.
