Job Summary:

An Expert in IT Support

We are seeking an experienced and skilled ICT Technician to join our team. As an ICT Technician, you will be responsible for providing first and second-level desktop support to customers and team members. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional service by ensuring requests are regularly updated and realistic resolution times are provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical assistance to users via telephone and face-to-face interactions regarding Desktop issues.
  • Respond to requests for assistance by providing information to enable users to resolve their problems following established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate log entries of faults with resolution and contact details.
  • Document all activities while on shift.
  • Ensure hardware/software installations and routine upgrades are implemented according to Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide a professional interface between users and service providers, supplying all necessary diagnostic information according to procedures.
  • Evaluate technical queries not progressing and escalate them to Network Engineers according to established procedures.
  • Pursue ongoing team training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in IT Support coupled with tertiary qualifications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Desktop hardware and both standard and customised software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple problems simultaneously and prioritise issues effectively.
  • A strong customer service focus.
  • Sound understanding of the organisation's Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
