Job Overview:

The Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in the financial operations of the organization by managing and monitoring incoming payments and ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable records.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, coupled with effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts receivable, including claim follow-up, denial management, and collections using Epic Resoluteto ensure timely and accurate resolution of outstanding balances.
  • Investigate and resolve claim denials and underpayments, identifying root causes and trends for corrective action.
  • Process insurance follow-upsthrough Epic workflows, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-through.
  • Document all AR activitiesaccurately and consistently in Epic, following departmental standards and compliance guidelines.
  • Collaborate with coding, billing, and patient access teamsto resolve account discrepancies and ensure clean claim submission.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field
  • 1 year of experience working in Medical Accounts Receivable
  • Proficient in the English Language, both written and verbal
  • Payment Posting experience
  • Experience in healthcare
  • Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, and patient accounting system
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management
  • Works as a team player
